Welcome!

At Colonial Heights, you are invited to a meaningful experience where you will have the opportunity to worship God in a diverse and authentic community, to grow deeper in your faith in Christ and make a difference by serving people in the name and power of Jesus.

On Sunday mornings you are invited to come and worship God with us without having to worry about how you are dressed. We have some people who worship in a suit and tie while others prefer shorts and a t-shirt. We believe that it isn’t about the clothes you are wearing when you show up but the heart and devotion you offer to God once you get here.

What should I expect when I visit Colonial Heights?

Our worship service begins around 10:45 a.m. When you enter the main doors you will be greeted by a friendly face who will offer you a worship program and be able to answer any questions that you might have. As you find a seat, we hope you will experience warm and friendly fellowship before we begin our worship with gathering music. Throughout the worship service we will sing together and pray for the church and the world, and our pastor will share a faithful and grace-filled sermon from the Bible about the ways the hope of the Gospel gives our life meaning and purpose. We offer communion two times per month, and you will have a chance to participate in communion. As a guest you will never be singled out. Our services last approximately an hour.

What will my kids do?

We value children and believe that they are a gift to us from God. We offer a nursery in the Humble Building, which is located to the left of the sanctuary, for children ages 0-4. All children and youth participate in the worship service, learning the patterns of worship and receiving the teaching that comes from singing, hearing and responding to the movement of God within the worship service. Children are not only participants but also leaders in our worship service, leading us in ministry in a variety of ways, including but not limited to serving as acolytes and assisting in serving communion.

What will my middle and high school kids experience?

In addition to our regular Sunday morning service, our youth group meets on Sunday nights from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., where there is dinner for everyone, and also on Wednesday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
